After a few days of tweaking the foreground and background, I am finally satisfied with the results. I like to leave the painting alone for a day or so and then come back with fresh eyes... It's much easier to spot what needs to be adjusted that way. Also, I decided not to include dust in the background (near the trees). Dust is very light and etheral, and will only veil things that are far off in the distance... Those trees are still quite close to the cows and shouldn't be masked by any fuzziness. There will be dust kicked up around the cows' feet, though, but that is the final step in the painting. Now, on to the cows!
