The next piece I will be working on will follow the same bird-oriented theme as "Tiny Watcher", but this time, it will focus on a crimson rosella. The idea is to create a kind of diptych. The EKKA treats diptych as two, individual entries. Both drawings will be sold separately, but the idea is that by creating a diptych-like theme, a buyer might be tempted in scooping up both artwork.
I haven't done much artwork in the past few weeks due to health concerns (mine, and that of loved-ones.) As my health is still very much "touch-and-go," I've made the executive decision to submit only two drawings at this year's EKKA. If by chance there is any improvement in my vitality level, and I can find the time to do so, I may submit two paintings as well. At this stage though, it appears very unlikely.

It's amazing the amount of work I can get done on a fasting day (I practice intermittent fasting). Let's just say, the days go "fast." (bad pun.) I still have the right part of the branch to finish, and then it's on to the bird. I intend on putting as much time and detail (or more... If that's even possible) on the little fairy-wren. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel with this drawing... Hopefully, it's not a train! ;)
