My husband and I are going on a 20 days holiday this upcoming Wednesday; Mackay, Cairns, Port Douglas, and then inland... In and around Winton and Longreach. This vacation nearly never eventuated due to an accident that befell one of our beloved cats. She has since fully recovered from her injury and we feel confident in venturing forth with our holiday... And not a moment too soon! My husband is totally exhausted from the long hours of work, and I have re-aggravated my RSI in both hands to the point where I now need special braces to allow me to sleep. They prevent me from bending my wrist and crushing the carpal tunnel, which in turn causes severe burning pain and numbness (especially at night.) These "cyborg mittens" look freakish, but they do help a lot! Hopefully, these few weeks of enforced rest will do us both a world of good.

Don't get grossed out at the word "flegme". It's a French word that has nothing to do with the English word "phlegme". It means serenity, calm and unflappability. The French say that the Brits have "flegme". My husband and I are soon to leave for Fiji for a short holiday. The last few weeks have been so very hectic for both of us... I am looking forward to decompressing and enjoying the Fijian "flegme". I will most definitely bring my SLR camera and take plenty of photos as references. Who know... Maybe my next art series will be about the relaxed beauty of the Fijian island!
