I did have time to draw this portrait as a birthday gift for a dear friend of mine. This is her little dog, Kara. She's a Japanese Spitz/Keeshond cross, and has such a happy, sunny personality.
It's been a while since I posted anything on my blog. Apologies to all. I have many irons in the fire at the moment, and unfortunately, creativity isn't one of them. I did have time to draw this portrait as a birthday gift for a dear friend of mine. This is her little dog, Kara. She's a Japanese Spitz/Keeshond cross, and has such a happy, sunny personality.

How I love thee... Let me count the ways.
My husband swung by at Costco this afternoon, and this is what he got me; an electric pencil sharpener. I've been wanting one for quite some time, now. It saves me from twisting around my poor RSI damaged wrists. I wasn't too sure about the brand name, but hey... I never look a gift horse in the mouth. I was quite impressed! It performed admirably with Prismacolors, a brand notorious for the fragility of its leads and splintering of the wood shaft. The only hick is that the feeding hole is American standard size, and its a very tight fit for European pencils such as Caran D'Ache and Polychromos. But... They DO fit! :) I got my drawings back from my framer. Peter Mant always does a fantastic job... They really look smashing! And now... It's up to the EKKA patrons to decide.
