If there is one thing I have learnt from working with Atelier Interactive acrylic paints, it's patience. I mostly work by layering colours on top of each other; it is a common technique used with acrylics. Atelier Interactive are neat in that you have a window of time where you can reactivate the paint by wetting it down or using their unlocking spray, but it can also cause drama if what you wish to accomplish is quick layering... Not blending. I've had issues in the past by rushing the process and quickly slapping on another colour and not letting the first one dry past its reactivating point. The result was that the colours ended up blending with each other, or the first coat of paint simply lifted off the canvas. So... I have learnt to take it easy... No rush! I normally give a few hours in between major undercoats, just to be on the safe side. Comments are closed.
