Still... My muse has no respect for human frailties, and her incessant prodding has finally driven me to cave in to her siren call. For the last two days, I did summon up a bit of energy to start a small A3 colour pencil drawing. So far, I've only managed to invest about two hours of work into it. It's a male superb fairy-wren, sitting on a moss covered branch. I will leave the background blurry with some Bokeh lighting effects and focus the details on the bird and branch.
It's been a little over two weeks since I've returned from a short camping trip up in Girraween National Park. I now have plenty of photo references and sketches for future artworks, but I haven't been able to do much as I have been seriously ill for the past twelve days. The cold/virus I have contracted has set me back in more ways than one; creativity has ground to a halt, and my health has taken a mega beating because of it. With such fragile lungs running on half capacity and bad bouts of asthma on top of that, I thought it best to put the Viking boat (read, wood dust) project aside... At least until I am able to breathe without coughing up a storm.
