WIP... After my last painting, I thought I'd rest my poor eyes (and obsessive mind) with a larger, less detailed painting. I managed to block in most of the tonal values today. Still lots to do, but I'm not going to go stir crazy with details on that one. I wanna keep it loose, fuzzy, and flowing. And no fancy-shmancy background either... I want that tiger's stripes to blend in with the background. I'm hoping I can successfully glaze the colours over. I might not stick with traditional hues of yellows and oranges... Perhaps blues and purples. I want this painting to have a bit of a sad and depressive feel to it. And this will be my first attempt at glazing... Wish me luck! ------- Photo reference by Michael Breen from "Paint my Photo" http://paintmyphoto.ning.com/photo/sleepy-tiger |
